This novel for me would have been a five star novel but you know thibgs happen. My first problem that I got early on was the system aspect of the game. NGL am a s*ck*r for keeping track of the info the author presents and this novel sucked in this sector. The guy showed us health and stamina amounts and never showed them again and funny thing is the skills this guy gets still show stamina consumption like did the author expect us to work on rumours. Second issue was what was the cause of conflict between the MC and broker (or rather the first player that attacked him). This is another scenario where we are working on rumours. Another issue was the pov in the different dungeons mostly once you get to 1000+ chapters. It was so confusing and the MC is portrayed to always be aware of people schemes. This trope became to much and personally I wasn't able to finish the novel because of this. The last straw for me was the city of fiends II, I was lost and the story did cut for me. Anyways if you would like to read the novel I will advice to be ready for such.

This is a really hard novel to write a review for. The initial stage of the novel is honestly Amazing. It pulls you in, establishes the setting and theme really well and does a great job of building the atmosphere. But as time goes on you realize there is no substance to it. Things are only barely explained on the surface and nothing is shown to give you any idea what anything means or how anything works. After the strong start the middle of the novel is a serious slog to get through. Every dungeon basically plays out the same way and the MC can overpower every problem without even using his trump cards. If you are a fan of the Devil Transformation for example, don't get used to it. In the latter half of the novel it's used twice. The MC is also an impossible genius even though the author repeatedly states "He is not naturally talented, he just works really hard" while he's like Sherlock holmes on crack seeing through every layer of the puzzle from literally nothing. And don't get me started on the romantic side. I am someone who loves romance. But not this disgusting trope that way too many stories have. That's right, this is 1 of "those" stories where basically every female character who ever sees the MC do anything, instantly falls in love with him. And likewise he is 1 of "Those" MCs who is seemingly aware, but never responds to it and just ignores it and pretends it doesn't exist and then gets annoyed when the women he neglects and doesn't give any form of response to follow him around. Seriously this guy is a charisma vacuum and it's honestly repulsive that the author shows literally every woman falling in love with nothing of substance like that. Towards the end the Dungeons actually start getting interesting again. Some new ideas come out and things don't always play out exactly the same way, like he gets certain restrictions on him, or the root of people's power in a certain dungeon is completely different. But this point of the novel has it's own problems. Mainly the Protagonist's personality. It's bearable in the earlier stages of the novel, but as the novel goes on he becomes more and more unbearable. He digs in his heels being ridiculously stubborn about some of the weirdest things to the point that I think he has OCD. He also consantly tortures and abuses his subordinate who is stuck under a slave contract. It's played off comedically, but he repeatedly and quite gleefully sends his near immortal slave to die over and over again when it can easily be avoided. This happens alot and we often get POV sections of the slave wishing it could just have a short break sometimes. This abuse played off for comedic affect isn't unique to the protagonist thought. The first player we meet in the game who takes rookie MC under his wing and introduces alot of things to him and the reader is horrifically mistreated by the author as the novel goes on. He stops being an interesting guiding figue and becomes a comic relief nobody who is just beaten and abused by his love interest and eventually girlfriend in literally every scene he's in. This brings me to the biggest and worst issue I have with this novel. It tries to do too much and therefore fails at almost all of it. It introduces lots of characters and many different plot lines and stories that go absolutely nowhere and are completely neglected and forgotten about by the time the EXTREMELY rushed ending comes about. So if you are intrigued by all the mysteries that are put forward and stick to reading the novel because you want answers, then just stop reading because they don't come. EVER. Here's some of the characters and plot lines that just get completely ignored or cut off (Spoiler alert ahead): - The protagonist's real life problems, most notably his TERMINAL ILLNESS and the literal reason he starts playing the game to begin with. It is never brought up again and nothing is ever written about him doing anything about that. - Lawless. The 1st character we meet in the game that I previously mentioned. It becomes known (And repeatedly mentioned by many characters) that Lawless experienced something traumatic and so has a mental illness that affects his memories and personality (How much exactly is never stated and I honestly had no idea. ) Rachel (the Abusive girlfriend character) brings this up alot and she often says she is getting things ready to deal with this. She even brings in a doctor to start treating him later in the story. Guess where this plot line goes? The Answer is it doesn't go at all. Nothign ever comes of that before the rushed ending and in the 1 chapter at the end where they are getting married, it's also never mentioned. We don't even know if it was cured or not. - Blacksmith. The 2nd character we meet. She keeps to herself and doesn't talk to people much. As the novel goes on she's just kind of there, but she's a genuine ally and part of the group. However she too falls for the "Every Woman loves the MC for no reason" curse. Fortunately in this case though, the Author forgets she even exists for over half the novel and her name is mentioned once in the final chapter to show she is apparently still pining after the MC. - Rachel. My personal least favourite character There are so many instances of Rachel doing things that are straight up suspicious that with the MC's well established cutthroat personality, he would NEVER tolerate. But that is ignored completely and for whatever reason the MC seems to value and trust her in the same way his best friend needed to relentlessly break down his walls over time to achieve. At 1 point she straight up does the equivilent of spiking his drink and making him faint. That is never explained other than the vague mumblings that he resembles someone she used to know (more on this point coming soon)/ Rachel is the "Elite" player of the story. The 1 who knows all the secrets and has contacts with all the big shots, but even towards the end it isn't exactly clear what she wants or what her motives are, or how much she knows. There is no resolution and nothign is ever explained. - Wu. Probably the most poorly handled character over all. The general idea is that the MC is identical to Wu's dead lover. To the point where she and basically everyone else who knew him believes he is the guy's reincarnation. This is never confirmed or denied and nothing ever comes of this idea. However because of this idea, Wu treats him as her past lover, which disgusts him. And because this charisma vacuum emotional manchild never confronts problems and always ignores them a dynamic is created where Wu is basiclaly a creepy stalker who is constantly self sacrificing and doing things for the MC and the MC is repulsed by it. That dynamic does not change for the entire duration of the novel. It's honestly tragic. The Broker - Set up from the beginning as the mastermind if masterminds. With schemes layered on top of each other that you can never understand. Honestly if it remained that way and we never understood him for the whole novel, this is the 1 character I'd have been fine with that being the case for. And it indeed was the case until the last 5 chapters, where the Broker who has been the main antagonist and enemy for the whole story, causing untold numbers of problems, deaths and misery for innumerable people, suddenly pulls an Italy in World wars. Now he's on the good team. Because this happens at the very end, nobody even has the chance to call him out on all the horrific deeds he's done and he gets no retribution. In fact he's just a dude hanging out in the painfully forced final chapter. Nikorei/The dungeon Characters - There is so much to say about the dungeon storylines that got cut off and neglected that I can't even condense it. But there are stories and groups of characters that are built up over long series' of dungeon runs throughout the entire novel that don't have an ending to any of their arcs. Most notably, Nikorei The God of the Earth. She's the most powerful person in the entire novel instroduced in a very early dungeon run. Every time the MC goes back into that world for subsequent dungeons, she is the main person who it all revolves around. It's later revealed she's the puppetmaster who manipulated the entire series of events those previous dungeons encompassed, all to train him into being her assisstant. He gets given some kind of bounty board thing that all her assisstents apparently get and you know what happened next? Nothing at all of course. That dungeon world was never visited again. No explanations about Nikorei's purpose or the mysteries surrounding the events she puppeteered were ever explained. And it's the same for every dungeon world. There was no resolution. No satisfying endings for anything or anyone. This Novel had the potential to be so much more than it is. The Author has good talent in world building, but in terms of actually creating a cohesive plot and immerisve characters they simply failed to stick the landing. Everything that could have been just wasn't. And that's a real tragedy.

This novel was going to be a four star or even five star for me. Despite the typical pacing and continuity issues you expect from a 1000+ chapter webnovel, the story was interesting, the characters memorable, the power system comprehensive, with a great deal of potential. But… the final two or three chapters really killed it for me. Without going into details, it was rushed, too many plot threads were left hanging and the “happy ending” was nauseatingly forced. I get that it’s hard to wrap up that much story neatly, but the ending not only sacrificed some of the most interesting aspects of its own power system for a simple “guys I can spam fireball” showdown, it also obliterated hundreds of chapters of character development in the process, leaving our ENTIRE CAST as thin, pasty, generic caricatures of themselves. I’m giving three stars because the rest of the story is worth so much more, Do yourself a favor and don’t even bother to read the last few chapters, honestly, you’ll be happier for it.

I just love this novel, I'm already at chapter 400 and so far it has a lot of secrets I haven't discovered yet (lots of plot twists and surprises so to speak). . . I could write a huge text that I liked and, some ready ones that I didn't like (which are few), the more serious the easier you read the story, to have your own opinions. . . Note: I don't speak English so I'm using Google myself 乁| ・ 〰 ・ |ㄏ

Speaking as someone that actually has a potentially terminal genetic disorder I'd advise the author to seriously do some research beggar you use such a premise. Otherwise really good book except for the over use of the words exponential and lacklustre and the fact that nearly every female character falls in love with the MC and instantly changes from being interesting strong and complex characters to being low IQ LOW EQ 14 year olds experiencing their first crush. Fortunately he doesn't respond to them. . . but neither does he reject them definitely either, just leaves them hanging on to sigh dramatically and have catfights with any other female character. Annoying. Despite that the character is interesting as are the secondary characters and supporting cast, the worlds are rich and complex. The problems, plans and schemes are well thought out and carefully played out often over a multitude of settings. The final battle was good if a little rushed feeling but the last chapter was a mega lame 'ties up the loose ends' pieces of garbage, I'd say ignore it and stick with your head cannon, it's not really that important to the story. Oh and. . . Why did the author suddenly make Starbeck a girl? really, he was fine just how he was. That annoyed me.

Ok novel, but the MC's constant virtue signaling is annoying. In reality there are no good or bad people, just those you don't like. The MC does not understand this, so he constantly acts like he has some objective moral high ground.

I don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to read a book unless it has a satisfying ending first. The introduction and development part of the novel is very gripping. dungeon adventures are very detailed and enjoyable.mc was too egoistic and arrogant afterwards and it was starting to bother me a lot. is like a tree that does not understand any emotional intimacy.most dungeon adventures are half finished novels, so it's disappointing.

What a good novel! It's worth to read and I think that it's worth of full 4 star. Why not 5? Because there are a lot of times that I think the author could just get direct to the point. And I think that the end was hushed, but in overall... good :)
