Chapter 65: The Second Battle Fiesta Part 8

Carna: “Raze, congratulations for winning the tournament! Adis-sama, congratulations for taking the second place! Both of you are so awesome.”

Raze: “Thank you…”

Raze had just came back from the awards ceremony that was held after the final match ended. She joined Carna and waited for the teacher’s instructions to leave the arena. The screens that had just been installed a few days ago were still replaying matches from this tournament. There were some short video among the replayed match. Most of it were Raze’s.

It’s finally over…

She was relieved to be able to escape from being the center of attention, being exposed to the piercing gazes from all directions.

Folia: “Raze-chan! Can you tell me what you did during the final game with Adis-sama?”

Raze: “Huh? Oh. That was apporting[1]. I teleported Adis-sama to me.”

Folia: “Wow! You can do that too?”

Raze: “Un. But apporting is not that rare. Anyone who can use movement magic should be able to teleport and apport.”

Luca gave her a suspicious look and said, “But you didn’t use teleport in this tournament. Not even once.”

Folia: “What?! She moved so fast and it was not teleportation?”

Luca: “You can see it from the slow-motion replay. She only used high speed movement.”

Folia: “Wow! Raze-chan, sugoi!”

Raze listened to the excited Folia while thinking about another matter. I wonder how Magenda is going to react.

The enemy had announced that before they could tell the prophecy about a major incident in Shian, they wanted to prove their credibility by giving a prophecy on who would win the Battle Fiesta in Centrior Imperial Magic Academy this year.

Raze was pretty sure that the Clairvoyant Miko was a reincarnator or transmigrator that knew about the otome game. Her position as a mob could only disturb the plot, while the major incident was most likely still going to happen.

Looking at the incident at the Jade Palace back then, it seems that Carna-sama’s memory is incomplete. If only I can get more information from that miko…

At time like this, she wished she had the knowledge about the otome game since she was one of the reincarnators too. Maybe because she was a soldier, she honestly felt that an otome game world sounded unrealistic; it was all RBUs[2]. For her, it didn’t matter what the plot was as long as she could know the dangerous events.

To be more specific, she didn’t even need to know about the otome games. As someone who served the country, she would not hesitate to eliminate anything that deserved to be eliminated. After all, no matter what the circumstances behind the mission were, it wouldn’t matter much because she still had to do whatever deemed necessary.

Besides, her school life was only for three years. Even if she knew every events in that period of time, it still would not have much effect to the remaining years that followed.

Ah. I want to retire early and live a leisurely and luxurious life. Well, it seems the country still needs Wolf Fang as long as this stalemate situation with Magenda is not solved… It seems my retirement won’t be anytime soon.

She sighed inwardly.

After the second Battle Fiesta was over, next on the schedule was the school festival. There was a high probability that the game events would occur during the school festival. It would be weird if she believed nothing would happen.

Carna: “If you all are free, why don’t we go have a celebration? Actually, I have booked a place and made some preparations.”

Ian: “That sounds great! Thank you.”

Carna: “Fufu. It was Claude who helped me with the preparations.”

Ian: “Woah. Thank you, Claude! Did you prepare meats?”

Claude: “I know you would ask for it. Don’t worry, I’ve already told the restaurant.”

Ian: “Awesome!”

Raze looked at Carna and the other members who were laughing happily. Her school life was only for three years. And there was only half left.

Even though she felt out of place mixing with the student when she was just an orphan, a soldier with blood on her hands, she pushed all those thoughts and convinced herself that she was doing it for her mission. But even if it was just a mission, she felt happy to meet these people and lived with them here as their friends. After all, it was her first time to make friends with someone her age. She was so nervous to experience this precious time as a student that it made her felt like she wanted to run away.

How much longer can I stay this way…

It was just three years, but it was a precious three years to her. And depends on the situation, she might not even have three years.

Ian: “Raze-san, you’re coming too, right?”

Raze smiled at him. “Yes, of course.”

She knew it was useless to think about an uncertain future. If someone tried to get in the way of her friends’ precious time, then she could just blow those pests away. It was her duty. It was what she should do as a friend.

I won’t let those people touch my friends.

Raze slowly turned around and sent a sharp glare. The person who was observing her since earlier saw her eyes and quivered.

If you want to do something, then use me as your target. I already know your identity.

This was a declaration of war from her to the enemy.

Regardless whether it was an enemy spy, another reincarnator, or the matter about Carna turning into a kaiju, Raze, the Wolf Fang of Shian, would prevent everything.

The plot for the otome game only covered these three years, and it had been distorted since long ago.
