The Founder of Diabolism

This was such a good novel. It is full of tragedy (like lots of it so if you want to cry. . . ), war, politics, death, gore, mystery, etc. The romance is really well balance here, it is not the focus but it's there. I love how realistic the characters emotions are as well as how they respond to it. I especially love how the MC Wei Wuxian, despite being loyal to the bone with his martial brother, did not force a reconciliation nor did he returned home. That is a very, very rare occurance. They both hurt each other too much that it is only appropriate that they part ways. And Nie Huisang, I love that smart b*st*rd.

I have reread this novel 5 times. It’s the kind of novel that gets better since the names aren’t easy to memorize. All the main characters have 3 names and a nickname. Wei Ying, Wei Wuxian, Yiling laozu, for the main character. All in all, this is a cultivation that is more centered on the lore. It doesn’t even need the romance to reach 5 star, the romance is like seasoning to make everyinteraction between the characters blossom. I love everycharacter here and the story is very emotional. The only thing lacking is 1000 chapters more

I absolutely adore this novel, I've read and reread it several times and still feel the urge to cry every time I finish reading it. I've both laughed and cried while reading this, and it's masterfully written. I love this novel so much that I own the physical volumes. I also recommend all of MXTX's novels because they're all good

This novel was my first Chinese bl, it means a lot to me. MC's interaction with ML is so cute and makes you smile. The world building is well done and has a lot of detail. This novel will make you interested in Chinese novels.

I've read all of this authors books and I can definitely say that this one is amazing. The plot is great, the side characters were all amazing (except for some annoying ones) and I liked how things worked out. There was a lot of angst at times but I love how the ML also stayed by the MC's side. I've read the novel, watched the donghua, and even watched the live action

I started reading bl novels because of this one and I never regretted it. I've read this story for like 3 or 4 times and the feeling never gets old. This novel brings you a lot of emotions from feeling of betrayal, grief, and love. It brought stories about family and discovering your identity. This story made me realize a lot of things and I know that if you're into two guys kissing, you would love this.

I knew i would love it, MXTX's other two works are forever in my top3. But this still exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. What else do u need other than, a perfect mystery plot, loveable, hateable characters, a sacrificial suffering but pure mc, a doting but not yan ml, heart stabbing back story, plot twists and deep side characters? Ofcourse it's sex written by one of the best bl authors!! And it's all here!! If i meet her u bet i will kiss her feet. Anyways, the most prominent thing other than their extremely soul mate- they completed each other- love, what i liked most was the character development. Of not only the mc but also the ml, and various main side characters. So read this when ur absolutely free, otherwise the addiction will be fatal to ur work.

One of my favourite novels, I can't leave a detailed review on it since it's actually been a while since I've read it but it's still cemented in my memory as something that really made me happy. I'm reminded of how much tragedy it actually had when I occasionally go find drama!
