Letting Judgement Spear defend itself was no different from giving up on it.

However, Lu Li didn’t mind if that day came. Despite how cruel it was, all guilds that had

grown had gone through thick and thin.

Those guilds would otherwise not been able to grow to such a scale if that were not the case. Guilds such as Peerless City or Gale Legion were examples of this.

Lu Li’s focus was on defending the Black Sea Coast and the Grey Valley Stronghold.

The first Black Sea Coast Stronghold’s defences were the best. They had the Ancient of Lore and the Dryads. Even with 200 of their weaker players, they could still put up a solid defence.

Grey Valley’s Stronghold was generally defended by the most elite of players.

The Life Alliance employed a large number of elites and was supported by Ruling Sword. Under normal circumstances, there was no chance of them losing their Stronghold.

They were actually most worried about the second Black Sea Coast Stronghold.

Lu Li had thought about it a few times already. If he wanted to guarantee the protection of the other Strongholds, it would be difficult to get enough players to defend this one.

This Stronghold was in a better location, had beautiful scenery and had plenty of resources for fishing. It wasn’t far from the pier that connected all parts of Azeroth. The transportation that it provided was so convenient that Lu Li simply couldn’t allow anyone to take it away.

Would they have to hand it over to Drizzle Court and Water Fairy to defend it for them?

Although Water Fairy had a new Stronghold, she didn’t need to defend the two Strongholds in the Western Wilderness. As such, she still had some resources to spare.

However, Lu Li just couldn’t bear to rely on a woman.

On that day, he took several players to the second Stronghold on the Black Sea Coast. This Stronghold was called the Elf Stronghold while the first Stronghold was called Ruling Sword’s Stronghold.

If there was a chance to occupy Darnassus in the future, the Elf Stronghold would be the closest point.

Lu Li motioned to his sister Lu Xin and told her about a seed.

It was the seed of the World Tree. Lu Li assigned for her to cultivate this tree. Ruling Sword was constantly collecting seeds like these.

Even Drizzle Court and Peerless City had helped out a lot.

All these seeds they had collected had been devoured by the World Tree seed. After two years had passed, Lu Li had lost track of how many trees it had devoured.

In particular, there were spore plants in the Outland that dropped a large number of seeds. Even all of these had been devoured by the World Tree.

The small seed that was once thin had now become quite fat.

When a player held it in his hands, they could even feel the energy flowing within it.

Lu Xin reluctantly put the seed into Remulos’ hands after stroking it. This Keeper of the Grove and son of the Demi-God almost never left his temple.

Lu Li was quite surprised; he didn’t expect that Remulos would be a part of it too.

The original plan was just for her to dig a hole and bury the seed.

Unexpectedly, after Remulos heard about that plan, he started shouting because Lu Li had almost destroyed a World Tree seed.

The World Tree seed could only be planted in powerful pools of magic such as the one Illidan used.

Even a small sapling wouldn’t grow if it was planted in soil.

As such, Lu Li invited him to come and help him. He didn’t expect that the Lord Keeper of the Grove would really come and bring four Archdruids with him too.

Remulos slowly placed the seed into a Moonwell.

This was where it would take root.

This Moonwell had also been brought by Remulos. Countless wisps of green energy emerged from him and were infused into the Moonwell.

They had transported the Force of Nature with the Moonwell. The World Tree seed took root and sprouted as soon as it fell in. It turned into a small tree in the blink of an eye and continued to grow rapidly.

It seemed that everything they had accumulated up until now was for this day.

The growth stopped after it was about two stories high and Remulos seemed to be satisfied too. Perhaps he had produced too much magic energy at a time and was exhausted.

“I’ll send a few Druids a day to help power it. Your Druids can do the same,” Remulos said.

“So, when will it have fighting ability?” Lu Li asked.

“Oh, the World Tree is a source of life. It is not used for fighting, but…” Remulos said, then paused and continued, “If there is a fight in this Stronghold, it will give a Status Effect to those who protect it.”

“Can it do that now?” Lu Li asked expectantly.

“You will have to wait until after the World Tree has spawned a Wisp. These Wisps will provide the Status Effect to friendly targets within the Stronghold and can also participate in combat. But, I suggest that you do not let the Wisps fight on the front lines as their only means of attack is by self-destructing,” Remulos explained. “Wisps will keep growing and eventually breed Warriors from the Elf tribe.”

“Please rest assured that I will take good care of them,” Lu Li promised.

“I trust you,” Remulos said, and was just about to leave.

“Hey, I have a wedding banquet that will happen in nine days in this Stronghold. If you are interested, I would like for you to be present,” Lu Li invited.

This was not the first time he had invited an NPC to his engagement reception. He had previously invited his mentor Garona, but he was rejected.

A Thief was a hidden killer after all, and couldn’t just walk about in front of all these players.

Although it was just an engagement, Lu Li had already negotiated this with Water Fairy. When they got married, they wanted to travel so the wedding reception had to big.

He and Water Fairy were owners of multiple guilds, so it was impossible that the players wouldn’t want to attend.

If the Elite Group all arrived, the numbers would already be huge. It would be difficult to maintain any order in that case.

Not to mention, there were also ordinary members that would want to participate.

What about their other friends in the game?

Despite how it seemed on stage, they had close relationships with many of their fellow competitors in private.

Under the suggestion of Square Root 3, hosting a banquet became the only option. This way, Ruling Sword, Judgement Spear, Drizzle Court, Peerless City, and any other guilds invested into by Water Fairy, along with anyone else that wanted to come would be able to.

The Life Alliance provided extensive support for the banquet.

A wedding reception with hundreds of thousands of people was something that could only be realized in game.

This wedding banquet had also officially been recognised by the game. By then, the entire Black Sea Coast would become a safe area and there would be gift boxes and mascots to provide a festive atmosphere.

The couple had become the game’s advertisement for the love system after it had come out.

Since they had achieved positive results with it, there was no reason for the game officials to hold back. They obviously intended to design the wedding as an official event in the game.
