Chapter 224: .

.

As if he was even scared of just keeping eye contact with him, the black suit man quickly lowered his head and uttered the words.

“Young Master, the youngest master has returned with his friends.”

“Oh, yeah? His friends mean Eun Hyung?”

“There is another person.”

The guy’s eyes grew a little bigger. Perking a corner of his lips slightly upwards, the guy leaned against the windowsill and flung a question.

“Really? Who is it?”

“It’s a girl.”

The guy’s black eyes became more conspicuous.

As he bent his body forward, his purple tie gently swayed and tinted red under the sunset. He then pressed the black suit man to speak further in a voice as sweet as he can put out.

“What’s her name?”

The glare in his eyes, however, soon disappeared as he heard the answer.

“From their conversations, her name was said to be Ban Yeo Ryung.”

“Oh…”

“Would you like to go greet them?”

“I’ve been running around. Tell them I’m gonna be there later.”

Dropping the remark, the guy didn’t have anything in his hand except a cellphone, but the black suit man understood what it meant.

Once he spoke something out of his mouth, the words should be delivered whether they were true or false.

Lowering his head again, the black suit man then walked silently like a shadow to leave the room. As the guy became left alone in the room, he turned around and looked outside the window. Half of the sun was now eaten up by the shades of the city.

The horizon I looked at in the States was definitely wider and farther away…

Narrowing his eyes for a moment to stare at the scenery, the guy then murmured to himself.

“I don’t need any more information about Ban Yeo Ryung.”

Ban Yeo Ryung. Although her family belonged to the middle class, her relatives were quite different. Their professions ranged from a creative director of a famous brand, an aspiring researcher, physician, to judge which were all holding a firm position in most areas of society’s recognition.

Leaving that background behind her, the value of Ban Yeo Ryung’s appearance was considered as a priceless jewel herself; therefore, it was such an easy thing to collect her information.

However, there was one thing unresolved. The guy stretched out his hand and gently tapped the windowsill with his fingertips as if playing piano.

“Ham Donnie,” he mumbled.

Who the heck is she?

While he was abroad, the girl appeared out of the blue and won his youngest brother’s attention. Except for the fact that she was Ban Yeo Ryung’s bestie, he couldn’t see any connection between the girl and his brother.

The feeling of anxiety gradually rose within the guy’s fingertip tapping the window. He has long hated leaving any uncertain possibilities behind. Although he knew that nothing existed 100% in the world, the guy couldn’t help himself thinking like that. He, therefore, tried to collect all the information about her as if raking things up; however, unlike Ban Yeo Ryung, no information was gathered at all. Literally, nothing.

That was when he repeated the name ‘Ham Donnie’ in a low voice. As the sun completely went down, the room turned darker, and there echoed a sharp voice penetrating the cold silence.

The guy slowly turned to look back.

“That’s why I can’t treat you as normal, you nervous freak.”

“Yoo Shin.”

Blinking his eyes slowly, the guy then struck a retort with a grimace. He heard a burst of giggle coming from across, then with a clicking noise, the entire room turned bright.

The man, leaning on the door, had gold blond hair, which looked utterly the opposite of the calm navy-black hair the guy, standing in front of the window, had.

His black eyes were full of playfulness; his vibe was exuberant though his one hand was on the wall and the other in his pocket. The two guys, looking at each other, were not alike from A to Z, therefore.

However, everyone living in this mansion was very aware that these two were brothers without a doubt. Yoo Gun was the reputable Balhae Group chairman’s first son, and Yoo Shin, the second.

Unlike Yoo Gun, Yoo Shin, the gold blond hair giggling with his hand on the wall, was wearing a relatively casual outfit.

Yoo Gun stared at Yoo Shin with a straight face for a moment then suddenly put a generous smile. He then spoke, keeping his grin.

“I guess you forgot Korean after staying abroad for a long time, but there is no such word as a nervous freak unless you’re pointing out obsession or anxiety disorder.”

Yoo Shin then made an invidious remark with a smirk.

“Ha, of course, I know. I just made a new one since the term ‘anxiety disorder’ wasn’t enough for you.”

Even what he just said couldn’t distort Yoo Gun’s grin. Staring at Yoo Shin, Yoo Gun then responded with a sweet voice as warm as the spring sun.

“I see, the only Korean you can remember is swearing words, huh? With your thick brain.”

What he meant was, of course, not pleasing at all. Only then did Yoo Shin stop laughing and drop a remark, clenching his teeth.

“So are you, hyeong. You also studied abroad but didn’t get over your temper at all, huh? Well, that ain’t change easily just by leaving this country, right?”

“You may have forgotten but it’s you who picked a fight.”

‘So, who told you to provoke me?’ with that thought in mind, Yoo Gun spread a smile on his whole face. Yoo Shin clicked his tongue then dropped his gaze at the floor.

“Because you’re doing that nervous freak shit again,” he suddenly uttered.

“Excuse me?”

As Yoo Gun tilted his head with an unaffected look, Yoo Shin shouted, gnawing his teeth.

“Are you kidding me? The background check!”

“Hmm…”

Yoo Gun kept his head tilted to the side and didn’t answer back properly. Yoo Shin panted in rage but, again, bit his lips tightly. Scowling at Yoo Gun for quite a while, Yoo Shin said in an indistinct voice.

“Do you even know? You’re such a paranoid.”

“Anxiety disorder, obsession, and now paranoia… a good way to greet your brother after coming back home, huh?”

“What makes you so nervous? As if leaving something uncertain would bring you a catastrophe, you’re constantly collecting data…”

Intervening Yoo Shin’s words, Yoo Gun tossed a question with a swiveling smile.

“That means I should live wild like you?”

“Holy shit!! Then, do you think it’s normal to run a background check whenever our youngest brother makes a new friend?!”

“That’s how I care my brother,” replied Yoo Gun without being hesitant at all.

“Laugh my ass out, you nervous freak weirdo.”

Blurting those out, Yoo Shin flipped the bird, which made Yoo Gun slightly furrow his brows. He, however, immediately calmed down the look on his face and responded in a nonchalant tone.

“I just think it’s better to remove any unstable factors.”

Gosh, Yoo Shin asked back with a snorting smile.

“So what? Then, what if the girl ‘Ham Donnie’ doesn’t meet your needs or belong to your UNSTABLE FACTOR criteria? What are you gonna do then?”

Instead of answering back, Yoo Gun took a step toward Yoo Shin. As his elder brother came closer, Yoo Shin’s face tinged pale; however, he returned to normal when Yoo Gun just walked past by him.

With a look of perplexity, Yoo Shin quickly snatched his brother’s arm then yelled at him.

“Where are you going?!”

“I’m done with what I need to be said.”

His voice sounded frigid. Yoo Gun didn’t show any more smiles but cast a cold stare at Yoo Shin. Only hips lips hinted a grin.

He continued, “I wanted to have a conversation with my dear brother whom I haven’t seen for a while… but what you are looking for seems to be just howling like wildlife. I have nothing to say to you then.”

“Hey…!!!!”

Before Yoo Shin was about to say something, walking after his brother, the door slam shut right in front of him. He nearly banged his forehead. Stepping back in horror, Yoo Shin scowled at the door for a while then murmured, clenching his lips.

“That’s why crazy smart assholes are freaking me out…”

From his twenty-three years of life, Yoo Shin desperately learned that the only term to perfectly define Yoo Gun was ‘crazy smart asshole.’ He, at least, pretended to stop him; however, once Yoo Gun decided to do such a thing, Yoo Shun could never stop his brother at all.

Yoo Shin was also quite curious about the girl. Who the hell was Ham Donnie to make the very articulate Yoo Chun Young give an enigmatic look only at her? How could he make a face that looked like a person encountering the world’s greatest mystery?

However, he didn’t want to find out about her through Yoo Gun’s test, the worst way possible, at all.

‘Hope nothing happens….’ he thought. Yoo Shin sincerely hoped that today’s event wouldn’t be the worst party for the girl.
