Somewhat disappointed with this novel, it had a promising start with an intriguing plot. However, the author made a critical mistake by emphasizing the romance between the protagonist and the heroine, overshadowing the initially strong potential of the storyline. Additionally, character development took a backseat in the middle of the novel, and the author reused these stagnant characters, introducing inconsistencies to the narrative. It's unfortunate; this novel had great potential.

This is so frustrating. It had so much potential but the writing is frustrating, it had so much unnecessary dialogue that even if you skip a substantial amount of texts and just skim through it, nothing would change. The side characters had more scenes than the MC, they're so annoying, especially this Nainaie or something. Even if the MC sees his past self in her, he could clearly see that most annoying circumstances stemmed from her doing. She's so self-centered and selfish that she doesn't really have much awareness outside of what she is. The author clearly doesn't know what to do with the characters that he just half-assed most circumstances and he clearly doesn't know the direction he's supposed to go with this story. It could've contended with TCF but the difference in character consistency, direction and writing pulled it down. Waay down. Story: 5/10 Charactere: 4/10

I couldn't agree more. That nina something really is a shitty character which overshadowed the MC which is why I dropped this years ago. . . and I hate the "love" stuff between them. The story had a big potential but was dragged by the side characters' "development" much like how I dropped the novel The Villain Wants to Live due to female characters. The MC also is always contradicting his goal in life, making illogical choices.

Lord this gave me a headache. He says he wants to live in peace and not reveal his powers but does stupid sh!t like when he went on Apoloc’s (idk) carriage just to get seen by those goons. Plus instead of just killing things immediately, he always acts all curious n let’s the fight last longer then it needed to which then leads to some annoying ass person seeing something they shouldn’t. It had so much potential but because the author keeps having him repeat his stupid goal while actively doing things that go against this, it gives you a headache. Think of this like when you're trying to take a nap or sleep and people keep talking to you and disturbing, asking you to do things for them at no profit to you. Don’t waste your time on this and just read The Trash of The Count’s family instead because at least there you know that everything he does is actively preparing for the time her gets to finally laze about in his lair.

I've read this before but I'm having a hard time remembering shit about this. . . because of the "the lazy lord mastering thr sword" made my memory of this blur. . . I'm just wondering if this novel actually got a manhwa adaptation? cause I feel like I've read the manhwa first before the novel. . . if not then weird memory I guess. . .
