The Legendary Master's Wife

Very honestly idk what the two 1 star reviews are yapping about. Stay with me for this long review. This long novel could obviously be better. There could've been more world building, the characters more diverse, more well written women (misogyny was apparent), some schemimg, some character dev in later half, LX more possessi- ok well, the point is, it's not a super perfect very driving action romance novel. What IT IS tho, is it's steady with sometimes amazing arcs where u binge a hundred chapters super fast, otherwise it feels so slow u want to drop it. Long note short, it should be 4/5 but the raring is already very low :( so i rated 5. World: this is slightly cultivation deviated. There are practitioners and mages. Practioners use spiritual power and martial art, while mages refine pills with spiritual herbs, contract spirit beasts, and use soul power as attacks. There are different levels of realms etc. It's pretty simple but still creative. Mc/ml: let's take it as a deutaragonist novel. Bcs momo and boss are almost always together. Ling Xiao is supremely strong. But his strength is challenged in the later and crucial arcs of the novel. So he's not invincible. He's super special like a "chosen one" You XiaoMo is weak in the first arc, rising and aggro pulling in the second arc and simply a force to reckon with in the last. He's actually super special too, also very lucky, and becomes stronger with the help of LX. But unfortunately he never fights side to side with him. It's more like LX takes care of The Boss while momo handles the right hand man. CP: cute, baka couple, bickering married couple, momo gets angry, husband seduces, they seggs, and if one of them gets injured you gotta arrange a coffin for yourself. Pace and wrapping up: The pace is steady type. For fillers, some young master comes to get face slapped, some auction, mage competition etc etc The side characters are pretty cool. The older side charas make a reappearance and all loose threads were tied by the end. End opinion: This is an above average novel to be reading in the background slowly. It's not seriously addictive (atleast not for me) 4. 3/5

The lore is amazing, ans this is my first xianxia that introduced me to the gateway of mind blowing sh*t sogotta give my props. Cure mc, cute ml, but no tension. The good thing abt this is that this is a novel that gets better the more you read

Nice. . . not much emotional. . . mostly the couples bickering which will make you laugh. . nice adventure. . over all good novel. . . well its worth reading.

I spent 3 whole months reading this piece of garbage. What made me continue reading was the entertaining lifestyle that we were learning and the hopes I had about the development of the characters, I was not interested in romance in the least, if XiaoMo didn't do what Ling Xiao wanted he would punish him by abusing him sexually, the worst thing is that the novel romanticizes it. It was full of details, you could skip a few paragraphs and it didn't affect anything, it was too much information. The misogyny of the author is very noticeable, almost all the girls were written in a horrible way, I thought that some of them would have character development but instead they were simply killed them. The story is repetitive, the same thing always happens in each book, Momo enters to this academy where he makes a lot of enemies, he easily surpasses all of them and kills them. I thought that he would have some exciting challenges and develop strategies in the competitions but it was the opposite. And finally I felt that XiaoMo has no personality, he only follows orders and his obsession is money, I did not learn anything from him, it is as if all his likes and dislikes had been introduced at the beginning of the novel.

The translation is fine. It's actually really good, but this book is objectively horrible. The MC is scared of everything and while I can appreciate hard work the ML basically exhorts him. Not to mention the book glorifies sexual assault as the MC resists and then says it was good afterwards, he was sexually assaulted even if it felt nice he should hate ML and possibly himself afterwards as it's mental trama. Also the male lead only seems to like that he's cute and shy but he actually enjoys scaring him because he's terrified of him. This book isn't 'kinky' it's basically abuse.

One of my favorites, the MC is a cinnamon roll and the ML is a dominant sex freak 😂 They’re a really good match even tho ML often look down on MC’s IQ 🙄 The storyline, the characters, chef’s kiss 🤌🏼

Love it, the MC is cute and a little naive complement the ML who is strong, dominating, and cunning. I like that they have that chemistry in the couple feeling.

I binge read this novel for 2-3 weeks. I love it. The translation team did a very good job on it. Sometimes I don’t like how the ML mocked MC’s brain, well I would asked the same thing if I were the MC, but their personalities suit each other and I guess it is just their characters

A good read. It was nice that a lot of the small things that happen in earlier chapters get picked back up later... you don't always see that with stories this length. I felt like the story got less personal and more rushed as the stakes got bigger, but overall it remained an engaging read until the end.

Really good. One of my favorite novels to read. Also have great anrics and good ending. Love the interaction between mc and ml. Where to fins me a husband like that though? ~uwu~
