Summary

The strongest doesn’t need cheats.

Haruka, a high schooler who spends his life as a “loner,” is suddenly summoned to another world with his classmates.

Noticing the god in front of him, Haruka was going to get cheat abilities by picking what he wanted from the skill list so that he could live in the other world――or so he thought, but the skills were first come, first serve.

All the cheat skills were taken by my classmates?!

After not being able to get any amazing skills, Haruka’s “loner” skill made him unable to join any parties. Even in another world, he’ll adventure in solitude.

Haruka, recognizing the crisis of his classmates, decided to secretly help them out while not relying on cheats. He’ll surpass cheats as he walks the path of the strongest――.

Let the curtains raise for the tale about the strongest loner’s attack on the different world!

There is a manga already and it almost reached the 100th chapter so I would recommend you to read the manga since the art is good and it will help with visualizing the interface of the skills and the characters

?? Most Chinese novels are filled to the brim with needless patriotism, spelling errors with translation, and plot that doesn’t transfer over to eastern culture. Most aren’t “good” to those who’ve grown up in the west. Korean ones are rather good though.

Agreed, it seems like JN cater to a more timid crowd. With a few actual good ones sprinkled throughout. I'm tired of MC's that are beta. It's not the way to go.

has loner in the title with harem tag. I bet my life that this story is actual garbage.

2/2 -“The book eating magician” is a superb example for this, as it actually goes through the romantic steps of each of the characters interacting, doesn’t have only women around our mc but some males friends as well, and overall takes it’s time to build up relationships in a way that makes it all sweetly come together, and the MC isn’t overly dense either. Another one is “SEVENS” where there’s actual plot reasoning for the harem and the MC has to learn to deal with the carnage and infighting something like a harem would cause, all while balancing other issues, he has to learn to handle the fact some of the members have secrets and it’s creating distrust, and most of the harem members get angry at him when he’s dense and he learns from that.

1/2. So uh, the manga is already incredibly popular. The story itself is overall amazing, it says harem but even 150 chapters into the manga the romance is progressing slowly, without any ecchiness to it, and most of his time is as a loner. The skills are interesting and it’s nice to see how the main character takes note of their own strength progression and how they come up with various interesting idea’s. I’d recommend you give it a try; also, not all harem is bad, actually, quite a bit of story’s have harem as a good part of them, it depends on how the author handles the harem.

Quite curious on how you guys actually enjoy these really cliche plots.

The plot truly isn’t that cliche. Unless you mean isekai in general, but at that point you’re just wiping an entire genre off the internet by claiming it cliche, and that doesn’t really work. It’d fall into the category of cliche if it brought nothing new to it, but this one does with the whole “sorry! Everyone else took all the good stuff so you’ve got the leftovers” plot, as this was one of the earlier ones to try this. Even if it was cliche… why can’t cliche be good too? Sometimes you don’t want something incredibly innovative, but something that’s the same yet still somehow refreshing. With what you posted, I could also ask you “why don’t you like these sorts of plots?” And you would likely reply that you find it repetitive. Now then, I’m going to read some more, feel free not to reply.

When you stop comparing each series to one another you can enjoy the book alot more. Its exhausting and overall not very fun so if you just read each story and take in the values they present as their own then you will have a much better opinion of them. In my opinion cliches are fine as long as the series utilising it can also give us uniqueness
