Watched anime season 1 (there was no s2) back when I was 17 maybe and binge watching anime into oblivion. I really liked its chill content that dont need a brain to watch because its simple. ... so, i rewatch ep12 or s1 just to catch up, wanting to see season 2 after finding it came out from the comments below and so I rewatch it now that im 22 and... ... someone kill me. I died internally every time 5 seconds were wasted because a character had to respond with a full on formal "hay, (person_name)" or "yes, (person_name)?" Duuude. The episode is probably 10 or 15 mins tops if you cut all the slowed down filler dialogue. Somebody kill me beforr I kill myself from cringe because I know im going to bite the bullet and just watch s2 for the sake of nostalgia. D*mn. I should downloaded my long list of watched animes from back then. Added a fully watched anime to a txt file and uploaded to cloud for safekeeping until decades later to rewatch for nostalgia and cry over wine or sth

I've had a similar experience to you with this one. Can't pick it back up again, no matter how hard I try.

d*mn even this novel is here? I've been reading this on jigglypuff a few months ago. it's really a bummer that the story's ongoing. also, if you're from the anime, I suggest you read from the start. There's a lot of scenes and details that hasn't been animated. but if you don't want to, chapter 69 is where s1 ended while chapter 109-ish for s2. this website is also up to date, only 2 chaps short i think.

But for real though the anime was really really sh*tty in later episodes of season 1, if I remember correctly in the anime he also fought against the goblin king but in the novel his role was with the newbies and what you should read this novel for: seeing the slimes usefulness! From what I also remember (read this like 2 years+ ago) the anime rushed so many things that it lost touch with what happened in the novel. Still I have to say that it is very painful to accompany this novel as there are chapters that are turned into like 5 different parts that are really tiny which made me drop this... I mean the content is great but it gets annoying having to wait for chapters that aren't even the full thing.

Just do what I do on most novels. Read it, then throw it on the pile for 1-3 years. After that, you'll have forgotten most of it so you can reread it from the beginning plus whatever's been released in that time :3

I've also stopped reading it a year ago because of that same reason. I want to let it cook and finish first but that's going to take a couple of years with how it's going rn 😅. Though I got to enjoy the s1 of the anime since I haven't read the novel at the time. Only when s2 came out that I find the story too subpar compared to the novel, even having most of the important details cut off. So ig for ppl who are deciding to read it or watch the anime first, it's better to enjoy the anime first. You'll be able to enjoy the story at it's pace, and you won't feel the need to skip over the scenes because it's too slow, or that you already know where it's going. If you want to commit to the story more, then read the novel.

They stopped it when it gets most interesting😤 (Chapter-262.2), Now that I think about it, He never fight anyone with the intention to kill/ with bloodlust ,right. He did kill some bandits but not with bloodlust.

Ive read this twice and its been a week apart where is the next chapter 😭 i love it. Its slow building, its about a man reincarnated as an 11 year old boy and he still carries the trauma of his past life into this new life and he's just trying to heal. And i cannot believe i got so excited over a laundromat opening and got so angry when someone was targetted :( i wished they wouldve had spinoff like how it is normally in the laundromat and stuff with the new employees

Only read to chapter 37, stupidly annoying mc with dementia. 1.Extremely annoying Mc that excessively apologizes, like he is a caught child molester or something. 2. Claims he is spoiled and yada yada, even though ever since he got to town he has been working nonstop and already prevented a fucking epidemic. 3.Says he has not spent a single suit, but spent around 12 small gold for equipment 2? Days ago ? 4. Feels bad for defeating rogue adventurers with violence and self reflects to resolve future conflicts non violently. But nothing similar happened when he slaughtered dozens of bandits in the forest huh ?? Just stuff straight from memory, probably similar shit every 3 pages or so.

These are the reasons I couldn't make it beyond a few dozen chapters (and, for the anime, about 5 episodes).

And to add to the brain of a 11 year old point. He always apologizes and claims hes spoiled because of his past like it talks in the story of his father basically beating the sh*t out of when "training" him and yeah sure the father did train him but like THAT? wth? And even after his father dies/he grew up/he became an adult he faced discrimination after beating up some thugs in self defense (and i don't remember if he got charged with assault and the police report or just the fact that he broke those guys' bones got to his office?) and got fired from his job and got a job in a sh*tty corporate scam/slave house type of deal. So basically his whole like he has had to make himself less threatening hence the acts like a caught child m*l*st*r and claims he's spoiled because he's used to working himself to death.

All depends on what you like, this is more of a slow burn slice of life, not super action and fighting
