The Oracle Paths novel is a popular light novel covering Sci-fi genres. Written by the Author Arkinslize. 1199 chapters have been translated and translations of other chapters are in progress.

Summary

Have you ever wished you exactly knew how to accomplish your dreams? Not feeling the slightest doubt anymore? Being aware at any time how every choice, action and decision of yours affects your future?

That's what happened to Jake Wilderth, a procrastinating young man without ambition. When a mysterious silver spaceship, popping out from nowhere, delivered to each Earthling a bracelet containing an AI introducing itself as the Oracle, their destiny changed.

From a boring uneventful life Jake began to strive for greatness, treading his Path over the dead bodies of many.

What a blessing it would have been if he was the only one profiting of such a gift! But when everyone became equal to face the future, he soon realized no gift comes for free..

Just a warning. Volume 1 sets the atmosphere in a Earth slowly degenerating into chaos and can be considered as a big prologue. It is slow and not as rewarding for the readers than mainstream stories on this website. If you can push through it will be worth it. For some real action you need to wait chap 27.

I have to say I don't like novels without secondary characters, usually these are made up of protagonists too selfish or individualistic to be to my liking, but I hate novels with irrelevant secondary characters with no development or charisma that try to sell us the opposite, I hope to see more interactions and evolution in the characters otherwise I don't think I will put up with jake as mc. If you're looking for romance go elsewhere this is another overdone nonsense mc that by chance the author tries to put together with FMC that she doesn't tolerate

I must say, the 4rth ordeal is one of the most mind-numbing brain rot ive ever read. Holy sh*t. Disastrously messy power scaling, repetitive and the author keeps trying to surprise us with plottwists/new enemies to the point where this "plottwist" is now always expected. And 300 chapters!!

No, its just bad as the ML is not interested while FL is pushy and he is tolerating her. There is almost no screen time for it at all.

How long are the g*dd*mn ordeals??? Specifically ordeals 3 and 4? This novel is not bad at all. Very well written. However, the Ordeals are too bloody long and one after the other. It feels like the plot isnt advancing

From what I remember, like 150-200 chapters.

I’ve read 400-500 chapters, i’m no expert reader but this is my opinion, it’s good if it’s the first book you’re reading, it’s a*s if you’ve read a-lot of books, we humans are born with common sense (there are exceptions, for example; harem readers) but apparently the MC lacks that and keeps f**king himself over, the only thing that moved him forward through his 3 ordeals that i’ve read is luck, i don’t know if his stupid*ty is a plot point and if it is then dang, author really got me, and i’ve heard that the future FL is another Sarah (annoying character that every single reader hated at one point) so that was just the finishing blow for me.

Sorry for the impolite dissagreement that was a joke, I actually am not trying to be rude. Anyway I just haven't found Jake to be a horrible Mc. That may be low reading comprehension on my part or I just suspend disbelief far too much, but he has always seeme like a decent Mc. With the occasional d*mb*ss moment, but overall he isn't bad. I would understand calling him mid or just not great. I wouldn't put him on a pedestal, but calling him stupid and dropped the novel because of it feels wrong. The main part of this novel that is enjoyable is the world building, which is one of the best if not the best I've seen in any novel or fictional series. I can't think of any outstanding parts that show Jake's stupidity so would you mind telling me some? If will help with discussion.

From trusting several people over simple and nought promises/reasons and getting betrayed (for example; Sarah, asian girl and her brother, the otherworlders. there probably are more, I haven’t read the novel in a year or so) to doing some unreasonably dummy stuff outside of the ordeals. (throwing his only advantage out the window should count as dum-dum right ?) there are more reasons because these are kinda normal in novels and would not level out the great world building that the oracles path author made. (To summarize; he trusted and/or doubted the wrong people, was not selfish enough in a man eat man world.)

I mean, the simple explanation is he is just naive. The apocolypse just kinda started and he has been an introvert for most of his life. When he finally starts to get some social skills and doesn't know everything about the people, yeah he will trust the wrong people occasionally and learn from it, which he does. Heck the Asian girl he kills in the second ordeal and I don't know if you are there yet but Sarah isn't even a part fo the group for similar reasons. Also he doesn't really do dumb dumb move anymore like throwing away advantages, he only did that because, he isn't a dog eat dog kind of person, he is actually a very nice dude of course he wouldn't immediately become a brutal sociopath. He still isn't, he's just smart now. Anyway ypu really should read more, he is great at holding a grudge and doesn't make similar mistakes from what I remember. Maybe a few dumb mistakes from an outside perspective, but logically they make sense.

The only problem with the novel is the MC. With a MC that isn't Jake, this would be one of the best novels I've read.
