Chapter 51: You Still Want to Look? Haven’t You Seen Enough?

Zuo Qiu replied “yes” politely and walked in. He had just entered a few steps when he saw the messy clothes on the floor. They belonged to Yan Beicheng.

“Hoho, Miss Lin, have I interrupted anything? Were you… busy?” Zuo Qiu did not have the courage to ask Yan Beicheng, so he took the opportunity to ask Lin Chu while he was not around.

Lin Chu’s expression darkened, “There was some problem with the piping in my house. Master Yan was drenched, which was why he changed his clothes.”

Even though Lin Chu was telling the truth, Zuo Qiu obviously still did not believe her. He chuckled and looked at Lin Chu with an expression of ‘Well, I’m not that stupid’, and continued laughing.

The previous one had not dried, and it was uncomfortable to wear it. It did not seem like Yan Beicheng had picked up the one on the floor to change in the bedroom.

At that, Lin Chu instinctively gazed at his pants.

She suddenly heard Yan Beicheng laughed in his low, hoarse voice, “You still want to look? Haven’t you seen enough?”

“…” Lin Chu thought that even if Yan Beicheng was dressed, he was nothing more than a well-dressed animal.

“Master Yan, you have a meeting with President Lee,” Zuo Qiu reminded on the side.

For some reason, she felt disappointed and walked aimlessly to her bedroom. When she passed by the corridor, she saw the clothes on the floor from the corner of her eyes.

“…” Lin Chu rushed to open the door but Yan Beicheng and Zuo Qiu were gone.

She went to peek out from her balcony but did not see the Cherokee either.

“He left pretty fast. What should I do with the clothes?” Lin Chu mumbled as she looked back at the heap on the floor. She resigned herself to fate and threw them into the washing machine to wash again.

How was she going to return the clothes without any means to contact Yan Beicheng and Zuo Qiu?

The next day was Friday. Xu Moyan had called last night to inform that she would only be back on Monday.

Lin Chu turned on the computer at home to look at hiring sites for suitable jobs. She emailed her resume to apply for as many jobs as she could that she thought suited her. With so many resumes out there, there should at least be one company that would contact her for an interview.

City B had a lot of job opportunities, even for the less popular public relations industry. There were many companies looking to hire public relations personnel, however, there were even more people who would interview for these jobs, making it quite a challenge.

Lin Chu had no idea if she would get any calls. She had just graduated from university and did not even finish her internship. She only had a few months’ worths of job experience. Companies nowadays look to hire those with at least one year or more than two years of experience. These made no difference for Lin Chu.

She sighed and decided to make herself a cup of honey lemon when a call from an unknown number dialed in.
