Man, how is this masterpiece in rank 500??? Honestly, I think it's very underrated since technically we're reading a story within another story, but if you give it a chance it's really good, it's now one of my favorites, it's all very well written and describes things well, plus it has a lot of emotions involved, I even got lost forgetting that I was the protagonist who was rewriting his own past and I was like the cultivators, a whirlwind of emotions. 10/10 Honestly, it's much better than the brain-burning 18+ novels that are full of plot holes and every 1 to 5 chapters they make babies. I am telling my experience until chapter 127. edit: Little brothers, I recommend you stop reading at 127, I think this 2nd arc is kind of useless and I'm reluctant to read it so I'm going to let the novel end with good and happy memories without risking too much.

Honestly, I think it's due to the lack of updates. This novel hasn't been updated for 6 months already, so it's not surprising that it's buried this low

pretty good so far just want to ask if the MC loses all his powers permantly or he just loses them and can get them back, not near that point, just wanna get the dreading feeling outta my gut so I can enjoy the story, yes for he loses his power permantly, no for he get's his powers back (please remember to click the spoiler button)

he's slowly getting his power back, im not sure if it's his original power, or the power of the system

The first arc is so good lol. I don't know how many times ive reread it just because of how great it was. The second arc is definitely also good but to me it kinda becomes a bit redundant a bit reading through the mtl but it's still one hell of a novel. Also might just be because i was reading the mtl that it felt redundant so don't quote me on that. Atleast the first part never makes me fail to tear up a bit each time ive reread it. I'd give it a 9/10 if it wasn't redundant but that could also be the MTL's fault so borderline 10/10. You won't regret reading this, this novel made me question the ranking system for this site lol.

The plot of this novel revolves around what happened in the past. Meanwhile, there's not a lot going on in the present time. The story itself feels like reading a history book, where we already know the current state of the world, but the events of the past unravel hidden details that recontextualize what we already know. The main attraction and fun of this novel comes from that. Overall, a highly interesting read.

There is another one which is kinda like a copycat of this one. The name is ,,The Villain’s Memories Revealed" the problem is only 10 chapters are translated. There is also MTL but I personally hated to read it. I felt my brain cells exploding for every sentence I read.

this novel is so good bro, worth the read. Don't worry about your brain cells. the translation is good so far, im not native so maybe I didn't notice some but even if there are, it's not noticeable. about the character is also not braindead so yeah, a good and safe read material.

I gotta ask, the Evil Protagonist tag and the title imply that the MC is a bad guy, but, the synopsis says he's actually a really great guy that was misunderstood. So is he even a villain or just a normal protagonist?

Ig the guy before the mc was actually a bad guy... But our mc here is writing the story anew portraying himself as a good guy whose actions were misunderstood The mc and the guy before are 2 different people

So a normal protagonist replacing a villain, like the Villain Wants to Live? Though in that one he still kept a lot of the villainous behavior, just redirected towards positive goals instead of just petty evil. I'd hoped this story was a villain tricking everyone into thinking he was actually a good guy, while still being evil lol, given the evil protagonist tag and all.

I don't personally like it very much but Regressor Instruction Manual has a vibe like that. That's not exactly what's happening but it's close.

Not really the same but Epic of The Demonic Sage is a novel where a dude takes over the body of a noble's son and then commits evil sh*t but tries to convice everyone that what he does is merciful or good I am at Ch. 310 and really digging it

Eh, that's a tricky one, though one I also love. Reverend Insanity does it more than a few times, Villain: Play of Destiny (bit smutty) does that as well. Immortal in the Magic World kinda does that to readers, where ages to by before you realize the MC is a villain lol. Not a spoiler, just never addressed by the author. Otherwise, honestly drawing a blank, but it remains one of my favorite things for villains to do.

Yeah, they're starting to become a bit more popular, but it's still pretty hard to track down specific tastes. Since you're looking, I'll add my list of well written villain stories for a couple extra to look at. Good (villain): Reverend Insanity, Warlock of the Magus World, I am the Fated Villain, Villain: The Play of Destiny, Ascending the Heavens as an Evil God, Regressor Instruction Manual, FFF-Class Trashero (villainous hero), Alien Evolution System

I've already read most of those villain novels. I'm going to recommend a couple of villain novels to you as a thank you. - Genocide Online - REND - The Red Hand - Who Says All Saints Need to be Good? (+20 chapters before becoming evil) - There is Something Wrong with This Game

Thanks! I always appreciate new villains, and I'll need a new set to dig into once I finish Lord of the Mysteries again. Best of luck with your reads.
