Summary

I don’t want to die. I want to be free. To that end, I shall….reconcile myself to the fate of becoming a “monster”.

A strange disease that racks one’s entire body with intense never-ending pain, until the person slowly withers away and eventually dies. After a few years of braving through the pain, the boy is in no luxury to even feel despair. With nary a soul to tend to him, he breathes his last.

The next time he opened his eyes, the boy had become an “Undead” of the lowest rank through the power of an evil Necromancer.

The boy rejoices at having his earnest desire fulfilled, which is a body that will never feel pain. However, he realizes that he is still under someone’s control and how it was no different from when he was cooped up in the hospital ward.

But the world would not leave alone the boy who only wished for peace.

The Necromancer who revives the boy from the dead, names him “End” and attempts to gain control over him.

The Undead Knights, lay their lives on the line to persistently chase after and annihilate the beings of the darkness.

With countless monsters under their command, the Demon Lords rule over their own lands while they all contend for ultimate supremacy.

The motivation being survival and freedom. The requirements being caution and power.

This is the tale of the cowardly King of the Undead. In his pursuit for freedom, he heads into battle and turns tail at times. He knows when to fear his opponents and when to waver in his decisions.

According to my old reading list (I can no longer see dates on my new reading list) I read chapter 77 817 days ago. I have a vague idea of the story but I honestly forget. And to top it off, there's only like 58 chapters.

Guys, I have bad news. The superstition that vampires die when subjected to sunlight originates from 1922 film "Nosferatu." Only after another film decides that their vampire is going to die to sunlight that the idea became popular. In the novel "Dracula, " the vampire only gets weaker in sunlight.

"Silavin: Sadly, we’ve caught up to the raws at this point. No news from the author in years. Even the LN only has one volume out, so I guess this novel ends here. " from the translator seems like this story is actually dead for years now sadly

This is good. Not the best read, but seriously to me its like top 5-10 which is impressive. Also some novels make you feel pain and suffering, and this one made me feel some (at one point)which might seem bad but it's good as it was able to get me that invested in it. Look this has been a bad review but I'm tired from binging chapters, you should give this a fair shot

It's 1st person, this won't do. When I read a novel, it has to be as a "Spectator," I have no intention of imagining myself in the story

both have pro's and cons I agree but both can be done well, take Shadow Slave, that novel is in first person from the perspective of Sunless(Sunny)

        Shadow Slave is 3rd person

      I can´t please everyone, I guess. I, for one, dislike third-person POV.

I'm ok with both, as long there isn't multiple pov, it breaks my fragile concentration...

As long as it has good story I can put up with even 30 POV. I mean Game of thrones book have multiple pov and they're one of my favorite series

I agree, the problem is more of a skill issue on my side

      • ChillFire 14

But the more the author is skilled, the less skill will be required on your side. So sont blame your skill issue too much haha. Xd. Anywways its a good story but I got bored and dropped it in the long past. After I identified the pattern the author was gonna use for arcs
