Meng Yuran saw her coming out of the kitchen. His gaze lingered on the new dress that she had found and was wearing. Somewhat unhappy, a frown appeared on his face.

“Mom, do you still have time to drop us off at school?

He nibbled on a piece of toast. He didn’t have much of an appetite today. Even after chewing on the toast for a long time, he still didn’t swallow the food.

Lin Yiyi sat down to eat breakfast with him.

She nodded, then doubtfully asked, “Why? Don’t I bring the two of you to your schools every day? Do you want me to stop?”

Meng Shanshan hastily interjected, “No way. I like mom bringing me to school the most!”

Patting her daughter’s head, Lin Yiyi was consoled and felt quite comfortable from Shanshan’s answer.

Meng Yuran kept his head lowered and ate breakfast in silence.

After the three of them had finished breakfast, Lin Yiyi quickly cleaned up breakfast while the two children waited in the living room.

Meng Yuran went straight to the sofa to sit down and picked up the photo on the coffee table.

This was a college graduation photo with over forty people.

In the photo, the men and women were wearing graduation robes and hats and standing in three rows.

The details were already fuzzy with so many people taking a photo together. It would be pretty difficult to find that man based on a childhood photo out of the sea of people.

There was no difference in seeing and not seeing that photo, okay?

“It’s okay, mom. I’ll be seeing him in person soon anyways. Not having his photo won’t make a difference.” Even if she had that photo, she wouldn’t be able to find him.
