Lin Yiyi waved her hand and casually picked up the remote control and started channel surfing.

When Ms. Lin Ping came out of the kitchen, she had with her a plate of assorted fruits. She, too, found a spot on the couch and joined them.

“Let’s watch entertainment news.”

After she had sat down, she took the remote from her daughter’s hand and flipped to the channel that she wanted to watch, “I have heard that Director Luo’s movie was about to start, but I don’t know the exact date. Oh, right. I heard that Zhou Jingru was about to go onto the variety show with her son.”

The film empress Zhou Jingru’s face appeared suddenly on the screen.

“The new channel 2 show ‘Hot Mom & Caring Dad’, which up to this point has not yet announced their guest list, has finally leaked a little news. Rumour has it that famous director Chen Zhu as well as film empress Zhou Jingru would bring their cute ones from home.”

On the TV screen, the anchor of the entertainment news continued, “Audiences will be able to see how the star moms and dads are like in real life; be entertained by the childishness of their kids; and also experience the warm interaction between the parents and their children. Which was why this show has already had high popularity even before it was aired. And now, other than the two confirmed guests of the show, a few others also received a lot of support on the internet. Among this list, the most demanded one was Meng Yan and his child….”

At the same time, in Haijing Villa, Meng Yan was shouting angrily at Yu Xiaofei, his manager.

“I haven’t even figured out how to broach Lin Yiyi with this subject yet. How have you already leaked the news?”

Meng Yan loosen up the top button on his shirt.

He only has to think about how persistent and clingy Lin Yiyi could get and he’d have an instant headache, stomachache, basically every part of his body would start to ache, “Now that everybody in town had heard the news, our hands are forced. What if Lin Yiyi wouldn’t let me take the child onto the show. Have you ever thought about what we’d do then?”

“Ugh… I didn’t know what the production crew was up to either. Manager Yang didn’t tell me that he was going to leak the news,” said Yu Xiaofei, defending himself.

He didn’t think the other side would have acted so quickly; they haven’t quelled Lin Yiyi on their end yet.

But, he wasn’t as worried about it as Meng Yan was.

What Lin Yiyi had for Meng Yan was true love. Of course she’d consent to it if Meng Yan was willing to ask her humbly.

Zhang Xiying could only sit next to Meng Yan and rub his shoulder. “Alright, it’s not really Xiaofei’s fault. Really, it was the production crew… but, now that the incident had already taken place, what we need to do is to figure out a solution. Pointing fingers now wouldn’t get us anywhere.”

Yu Xiaofei gave Zhang Xiying a grateful look and secretly added points for her in his mind.

Yan-ge had such a good wife; she was elegant, poised, and reasonable.

“All we need to do is to convince Lin Yiyi is all.”

Zhang Xiying nudged her husband a little and said, “It’s not like we wanted the kid’s portion of the compensation. We can even accept a few opportunities for her kid to be some product spokesperson.”

In her mind, everybody loved money and kowtowed to profits.

Meng Yan’s frown did not loosen up.

“You don’t understand. Lin Yiyi just might not care about this money. She… is in no need of money.”

He shook his head. “I am more worried that if I approach her for this matter, she’d use that as an excuse. You know, she is never a rational person. You can’t reason with her.”

Zhang Xiying furrowed her elegant brows as well. “It would be nice if you have custody of the child.”

Naturally, she was only saying that. Who in their right mind would want the ex-husband to raise their children?

It was just a gripe under the current circumstances.
