Vainqueur the Dragon

I'm surprised this doesn't have more views (and reviews) considering Void Herald has one of the top rated novels on this site, but not much can be done about that. But, this novel, along with Void Herald's Never Die Twice and Apocalypse Tamer, are some of the best connected web novels I've ever read. Specifically, Vainqueur the Dragon brings together elements and cliches that we've seen in other media and brings more with it to give a comedic and emotional experience throughout the novel. You really connect with V&V throughout your reading, and the other characters bring a lot more to the novel that helps develop the main two while also acting in a way to set themselves apart from the main two. If you do plan on reading more of Void Herald's novels after this one, read Never Die Twice and then Apocalypse Tamer to finish this (current) series of novels from him.

I knew this was written before "The Perfect Run", and come here expecting to find silver. . . but i found gold instead and more. The plot, the D&D elements, the gradual discovery of the end, i f*ck*ng loved it, f*ck i hope Void Herald is young and continues to write many more stories 5/5 stars, i cannot fathom how someone would give it less.

Dragons are wonderful. I loved the fantasy element in the novel and also how well written the novel was. The two mcs are awesome and the the humour is great as well. One thing that could have been better was the backstory of gods (maybe I'm thinking too much) but it was alright. Give it a read if you can!

A wonderful story that had me laugh constantly. References to memes and pop-culture every now and then. And characters that feel real. I highly recommend this and I hope you enjoyed it as much as the rest of us.

It’s a really great novel. The character progression is just right. I love their personalities and they stayed true to their cores until the end. This is a super fun and crazy read! It made me literally laugh out loud and even made me cry. V&V’s antics are just gold! Get it? I haven’t read The Perfect Run by the same author, but I think I’m gonna read it next. Really love this! Highly recommended!

Another near perfect novel by Void Herald. Not nearly as dark as his other novel The Perfect Run, it is a nice lighthearted, fantasy, comedy read with some kingdom building in it. Give this novel a go it delivers 100%.

Fantastic novel. By far the best comedy novel I've ever read. I just loved this so much, and the ending was satisfactory. It's a shame that there's only 150 chapters, but to be fair the chapters were very long, and I think if it was any longer it would've taken away from the novel. Rather than a novel with 1000 chapters where half of it is great and half is boring drivel, I prefer novels like this where they may be short but they never get boring. Props to the author for being able to write amazing novels like this and The Perfect Run. Will definitely be reading his other works.

Truly a perfect comedy. Although, it’s quite happy, the author does not fail to create tension as well. I certainly had a lot of laughs. It lives up to the expectations of people who have read The Perfect Run. One of the best novels I’ve ever read.

The novel overall is phenomenal, it contains a lot of humor often they are simple gags but still most of it made me laugh. The characters are interesting even go through some emotional journey. Becoming stronger is quite interesting, I was interested in how the characters would become stronger, although the the fights are not the most interesting part of this novel. This was the first time I read a novel with a DnD type cRPG theme and it was so good, I don't know why this theme is not used more often.

If you like awesome comedy and well written stories, this is for you! Don't worry about it only having 153 chapters, they are LONG chapters, 3 or 4 times longer than a lot of novels on here. I am so happy I read this, it had my giggling like an *d**t, excited about battles, and even triggered some meaningful emotions. Definitely one of my favorites so far, gonna check out this author's other books too! 10/10 Highly recommended
