Wandering Mercenary in an Open World

I'm enjoying the story. It's very much a setting like "The Witcher", with monsters and magic in a sort of grimdark fantasy world. Ruon travels as a mercenary, killing demons and monsters to gain power as a part of a larger "quest" that he believes will eventually let him go back to Earth. The strengths of the story are also its weakness. Ruon travels around doing quests in an "episodic" way: which is always a new encounter to read, but leads to things being disconnected. Besides a few characters, every event / story / character will become irrelevant after the short arc. He also tends to treat things like a game. A grand demon targeting him is nothing more than a boss monster and the gods manipulating him is just the questline, it makes it hard to invest in what's happening when the character experiencing it isn't

Masterpiece. A truly art of honor. I already have enough with academy, max level or some humanoid god thing in main webnovel now to see this Novel as truly enjoyable. Its have adventure, companion, and act of heroism. MC was lone wolf that hunt human-eater monster yet dont kill them who have inteligent mind, make me remember The Witcher triology. Enjoy the Journey.

It felt very average. The translation also felt pretty unreadable, likely MTL. It's nothing special and a decent experience to read. There's nothing to be mad about, it's just. . . average.

I think it is a great story. Be warned it is a "hard read" due to the translation that is below average. The only other issue is that it seems like the story is in it end game, but somehow the author keeps it going well.

This story has some horrid translation. Not necessarily the worst on the site, but bad enough that after like chapter 30 characters names swap between 3 different spellings or are just entirely different. They gender of characters also swaps randomly because it wasn't edited after being put into Bing translation (I know it's Bing translation because there's a note from Bing that wasn't taken out in some chapters). There are also times when the chapter should end, but instead there's a note from Bing and then part of the chapter repeats itself. I took a point away due to that. Aside from the translation the story is pretty good. It's like a Witcher-esk D&D campaign. The main character is a good person, but not a B*tch. MC's not the most expressive character, which is fine in the context of the story, though there are times he knowing makes his situation inconvenient by not talking. He's pretty overpowered from jump, which in this case is a good thing. Side characters aren't particularly special, but they're also not offensive, so they're good in my book. I like the way that the story has unfolded so far (until chap 107) and definitely recommend reading it if you can get through the translation

Wow, I don't expect it is that good. . . the author really has a different kind of imagination that it can connect many stories into one whole story. I really like how does the author tell the story and the chara's thought and also understanding. I recommend it for slice of life reader

This is what you get if you mix The Witcher with Baldur's Gate. They just so happen to be two of my favourite favourite franchises and to no surprise, I love this novel. Some people might be unsatisfied with the relatively easy way that the MC keeps getting stronger but I feel the overall narrative more than makes up for it. The tension is subtle and is just enough to keep you reading. You don't need to worry about your blood pressure every other chapter. The MC is cold and that might not be to some people's liking but the side characters play off of his personality very well leading to some great dialogues and emotional scenes.

I think it's a pretty good novel, i enjoyed particularly the figths and aspects of the story like descriptions of places, world building, characters Building etc. . . The only thing i don't like particularly is the behaviour of the MC, too cold in my opinion, i'm not saying he should be Happy about being stuck in another world, but at least try to find good sides of It. Anyways i will continue reading in my spare time, and i would recommend It to people that are mainly interested in figths.

Honestly reminded me of the Witcher and elden ring mainly due to the monsters and the leveling system. It's pretty fast paced but the story even 50 chapters in is good, some may find the mc uninterested towards others, especially from how he rarely shows concern for their feelings, he isn't cold but from what I got his primary goal is leveling up and the story plus how effectively and efficiently he can do it. Doesn't mean he rush's into things though he simply acts when the timings ripe and he works pretty quickly too which you'll come to know once you start reading.

it's good, despite changing the name numerous times and misgendering them, it's a really unique fantasy novel, the mc is does not shower everybody with love and tried to save everyone he sees, no he only saves he cares about. people think of him as a hero but he doesn't think of himself hero. it also some realistic attributes in the novel such as him crying for a month in a corner of a stable when he first arrived to the game world
