Tang Mo’er was not thrilled. She was unhappy being reprimanded by her manager so early in the morning. Why was she making such a big deal out of it? She snorted, “How am I shameless? It’s not as if I couldn’t afford to hire him if I wanted to.”

Having been in the entertainment industry for the past few years, she had earned a lot of money. In addition, she had invested quite a huge sum and the returns were pretty good. Why wouldn’t she be able to afford to hire him?

“What do you mean do I know who he is? Isn’t he the bankrupted Mr Gu…” said Tang Mo’er. She paused for a while and continued, “Don’t tell me he is a… criminal? Oh no, if he exposes me, then I would have committed a crime in harbouring criminals!”

“Mo’er!” shouted Qi Xi, her voice blasting through the phone. “Do you really not know or are you pretending to be stupid? Mr Gu is the President of the Gu Corporation, the leading conglomerate of the capital!”

Tang Mo’er was shocked. Her eyes widened in horror.

“What did you say???”

“Mo’er, you did not hear wrong. The DHA’s spokesperson role that you’re fighting for is under the Gu Shi Corporation. Their businesses spans over the entire world. Mr Gu himself is the leader on the Forbes list and his wealth is incomparable to normal people like us!”

“Not only that, Mr Gu is 30 years old this year. It’s considered a man’s most prosperous age. With his handsome face, amazing body and his charming charisma, everyone wants to marry him.”

“Mo’er, please wake up. As your manager, I can’t believe I’m the last to know about something so important until it was posted online. I was sad, yet excited at the same time! They’re saying Tang Mo’er is going to be married and become a rich man’s wife!”

Tang Mo’er was at a loss, she didn’t know what to say.

Her ears creaked and she felt surreal. Never had she imagined that this bankrupted Mr Gu would be a mysterious figure from the Capital.

Thinking of all the previous events that had happened and the nonsense she had spouted in the car while sitting on his lap, she closed her eyes and grimaced. How she wished she could remove all traces of that shameless memory and forget everything.

Qi Xi was still screaming at the end of the phone. Tang Mo’er immediately cut her off, “Qi Xi. I need to rush to meet the crew to audition for the second part of ‘Allure Times’. Please come quickly, I’ll meet you there.”

She hung up and fell backwards onto the bed.

She needed some time alone to just think.

After half an hour, the huge van stopped in front of the crew entrance and Tang Mo’er got out of the car. Qi Xi came forward in a hurry, “Mo’er, hurry up and tell me exactly what happened! If you confess, I may be more lenient.”

Tang Mo’er walked into the hall calmly, “Whether you believe it or not, with regards to Mr Gu or President Gu, whoever he is, you were the one who informed me.”

Qi Xi did not believe her but pressed on regardless, “How did you meet Mr Gu?”

“I picked him up from the roadside.”

“If it’s so easy to pick up a man like this, then please tell me which road, I want one for myself too.”

“It’s difficult to do so, little children shouldn’t recklessly imitate.”

Qi Xi rolled her eyes at Tang Mo’er, “Tsch. Stingy! If you don’t want to tell me, it’s fine. I heard you’re going to be the wife of a rich man. I’m proud of you.”

Tang Mo’er was speechless.

“Qi Xi, what’s happening with the online rumours about the sponsor and me?”

At the mention of this, Qi Xi’s expression became immensely proud. “Mo’er, your rich businessman is Gu Mohan. The Gu Mohan. The moment Gu Mohan’s name was revealed, you already gave them all a big hard slap across all of their faces. Haha! I wish I was there to see it in person.
