It's peak. It's just about everything I've wanted from this book and then some and then some more. Things I like about the book Plot: very reasonable developments combined with insane plans and even more insane counter-plans create something that I'm loving right now. World-building: Continues to be absolutely amazing even though most of the information has already been established in book one. Characters: I actually like the current main group better than the mostly solo protagonist in the first one. The personal connection between characters is warm and I feel bad for Klein because of how d*mn lonely he must have been. Humor: Very funny and absurd as expected. Continues on the greatness of book 1. The idk how to describe factor: You ever read a book and you get giddy with joy or your jaw just drops for 5 chapters straight or you start crying? This book has that (at least for me) Spectator: He is always watching and also stop forgetting about Anthony. If you haven't read the book yet forget about Anthony. I never mentioned him.

Reading Col made remember what peak is even though i got major spoiled and read Col mainly because of klien I still enjoyed reading it greatly . Even though I still don't like lumian . I can honestly it is one of the best novel with one of the biggest plot twist.

I have read the first book And I will say this is as good as the first book was CF didn't let us down at all. I highly suggest you read the first book first though starting with this will not be a problem as the author made sure this could be read as a stand-alone book though reading the first book will make this 1000% more fun. And please read it if you have time.

A new book ! A new beginning and it means a new MC ! We are going through so much in all the arcs, Cuttlefish didn't disapoint us ! Lumian ( MC ) is unhinged most of the times, it will remind you of a certain Pirate Adventurer in book 1 👀 !

09/12/2024. . . Just came out of finishing LOTM and straight to LOTM: COI🥲😁. First book was a masterpiece, allowing me to see the potential writing of CF for which I have no doubt will experience again in this new chapter in The Fool's story. If you haven't read the first book of LOTM, read it, then come back. For those that have, lets enjoy ourself as we embark on this new chapter of mysteries and madness.

CF continues to improve this story, the differences between Klein and Lumian in a plus in my opinion and does not take away from the story. In fact if it had another main character that's exactly like Klein then it would feel cheap and make us miss the fact that Klein is not the protagonist of this book

I will try to review this as best as I can without any spoilers. Firstly this is a sequel to LOTM. so make sure to go read that first. The MC of the first novel is sleeping in this book so we are following Lumian. what happened to Lumian you ask? I won't spoil you just read vol 1. CUttlefish the Author as usual is a master of Lovecraftian horror and world building. And the character writing is top notch! 6 Volumes are currently out all perfect to Binge read! matter of fact because this is a webnovel it's better to binge read it. i won't try to spoil you but if you loved Book 1 then you will love this one too. don't worry the book 1 characters are in it. The Highs in this book are works of Art. especially Volume 5 man . . . especially Volume 5. Truly peak literature.

From the very start, Lumian has everything handed to him on a silver platter, and it’s infuriating how he’s constantly bailed out of every situation by external forces, without ever facing real consequences or losses. One of the most glaring issues with Lumian is that he never truly struggles. Every time he’s in a tough spot, someone or something conveniently comes to his rescue. Whether it’s the Tarot Club, the Aurora Order, the God of Wisdom’s church, the Iron and Blood Cross Order, or even the Curly-Haired Baboon Research Society, Lumian always has a safety net. It’s like the entire world is conspiring to make sure he succeeds, no matter how little he actually deserves it. Even the most powerful beings in the story seem to be on his side, offering him help, guidance, and protection at every turn. What’s worse is how Lumian blatantly breaks the rules that were so carefully established in the first book. Despite being only a Sequence 8, he somehow knows things that should be far beyond his understanding, like the nature of the Fool’s seal. This makes no sense and completely undermines the internal logic of the world. And when he should be facing serious consequences, like almost losing control of himself, he instead just feels a slight headache. It’s ridiculous and makes the stakes feel nonexistent. Klein, who had a Sefirah, nearly lost control multiple times, yet Lumian just shrugs it off like it’s nothing. It’s a slap in the face to the fans who appreciated the carefully crafted tension and rules in the first book. Lumian’s ridiculous plot armor doesn’t stop there. He’s got an angel sealed inside him that helps him out whenever he’s in trouble, which only adds to the frustration. This constant assistance cheapens any potential character growth or development because Lumian never has to actually overcome anything on his own. He’s always being carried by someone else, and it’s incredibly unsatisfying to read If you enjoy an overpowered main character who breaks the rules of the universe without explanation and has everything handed to him without effort, then Lumian Lee is the character for you. But for anyone who cares about coherent storytelling, meaningful character development, or actual stakes, Lumian is a major disappointment who ruins Circle of Inevitability with his over-the-top plot armor and endless supply of external help.

"I've had to read 750 chapters of a story where the main character is constantly carried through the plot never loses control never faces real defeat and always receives assistance at the perfect moments That kind of writing feels poorly executed You can't have a character who overcomes every obstacle without consequence, especially when there is no explanation or reasoning behind it For instance if a character gets shot in the head and somehow survives without any explanation and after 750 chapters I still don't know how or why they're alive it reflects weak storytelling

My man There is a big i MEAN BIG REALLY REALLY BIG REASON WHY everything is like this and it was perfectly explained in the ending of the last vol like it was traumatizing. I tought the same as you till the last vol ending like god damm that sh*t was hard it gave me fuking chills anyways i recomend u to finnish the last vol and i promise u that u will get ur full answer and u will god damm like it. Trust cf he never betrays

he has lost many time being outclassed by enemies, also if he lose control why would cf even care making him being the mc like bro you want mc to die and that's it? who's gonna move the plot further, the side characters? that'd be lame , also who got shot in the head and survived?

The guys below are saying there is an explanation for this after volume 5, I didn't read that volume but...may I ask if this changes anything? Does it change the fact that the journey he experienced wasn't a smooth path to success? Does it change the fact that his plot armor wasn't b*llsh*t? Does it change anything? Even if he experiences something very bad because of all these early boosts later on(which he probably won't), it doesn't change the loss of tension in the early parts. Not when his life wasn't ever seriously in danger

Yeah heaven's will and red lotus were helping fang yuan ( explanation in later part) but fang yuan was was always scheming and struggling, he had to scheme d*mn hard to even get fishes, he was never having rest, there is so much tension at the end of every volume that even readers loose the sh*t thinking how can fang yuan escape his predicaments. It never felt like the tension was loosing from start to finish.

That's a lie, nothing that was revealed at the end of volume 5 cancels out the fact that the novel was written in a conveniently lazy way. It's the same trope as xianxia protagonists destined for greatness.

Well, you're right, there's nothing wrong with your review. If I were to nitpick, it would be about how you mentioned Lumian breaking the rules by acquiring high-level knowledge early on without losing control. There is an explanation for this that makes sense, so we can kinda overlook it, but it does feel a bit cheap how easily he bypasses the rule. Aside from that, your points are accurate. Moreover, the author himself addresses this issue in a note at the end of Volume 5, so you should continue reading until then and check out his note on wiki. Long story short, the writing style for seer and hunter is different. CF use different writing style.

I wouldn't normally review novels, but this series of lord of mysteries is out this world , I would genuinely believe if CF has been to that world and it's real, the characters are real the world is detailed that If I transmigrated there I could love like a normal life without any needed memory, in this book that follows lumian in hunter path is peek fiction if book one was top of mysteries this still is but on top of it is out of world action
Ye u should read LOTM first while CF made this readable on its own the main goal of this book is to wake up Klein the Mc of LOTM I highly recommend reading that first coi becomes even more enjoyable than it already is after u read the first.
