Jackal Among Snakes

Just caught all the way up, and the novel is really good. It's not quite as focused as it was in the beginning, but there remains a lot of unknowns and intrigue to keep things interesting. World building is good, characters are dynamic and changing, and the plot is solid. The biggest unique sell of the novel is the process of the MC settling into the new world psychologically. He doesn't just immediately accept it as real, but he also doesn't run around as if it's all a game. This is easily one of the best novels you'll find on this website.

This novel is SEVERELY underrated. It's an amazing novel with good world-building, a great plot, etc. It's a pretty unique take on the usual possessing a game character trope, and I like that it's the darker fantasy type since that's not so common lately. The highlight here is definitely the characters though. This novel has some of the best written characters I've ever encountered, along with fantastic and realistic dialogue. My only problem with the novel is it can sometimes get quite boring, however that's maybe less of the novel's problem and more my own. 😂 Despite that, I can't bring myself to rate this any lower than 5 stars. It deserves it.

Subtle in the story telling , the best novel of the "isekai" with romance genre . . . not only most characters are well written but there isn't that irksome need to make the MC suffer way to much or Always slap facing enemies . . . much appreciated the developing of the romance that generally, in other novells, ends in blatant mediocrity

I wish this web novel, gets published as a book. This is amazing. I have been following it for 2 years, and I never felt bored reading it. I wish I could support the author financially, but I'm just a student, and money is foreign to me.

Novels writing is great. Plot is interesting too. Only complaint is the MC keeps blaming himself for something he can’t control every 10 chapters which is kinda annoying

A hidden masterpiece on this site that does not get the attention it deserves. It is a crime to not have any romance tags and then push out one of the most realistic and overall best relationships i have read in a webnovel. The world building is done extremely well and has me hooked. THE CHARACTERS CHANGE AND EVOLVE. They learn and especially the mc changes to fit his mold and isnt like the stale bread of doom and gloom protagonists or the superiority complex of the extremely op MCs. HES HUMAN WITH FLAWS and other characters are what makes up for them. This site is riddled with trash and alot makes it up into the top 100 and its a shame a genuinely good one is sittng here lost and underappreciated. Easy top ten contender if people gave it a shot.

I read exactly 180 chapters of this novel and I can say that it was very good, the pace was great, neither too fast nor too slow, the construction of the world and the setting is fantastic and the secondary characters are unique and fascinating, but in the last chapters the protagonist gave a 360° of personality I know that the transformation event was drastic and brought a lot of pain but I preferred his lighter, more playful and at the same time reliable personality, now he seems more like a soldier who has control of the entire group of companions and the tireless duty to save the world at any cost, and the only one the MC listens to and cares about is his girlfriend. In my opinion, this left the novel a bit boring.

The quality here transceds the light novel universe. This could easily (and should be) picked up by a publishing company and be made into a book series. MC is witty, patient and grows as a person! In fact, his personal growth is more important to the story than his power level growth. The secondary characters are exquisite. Imagine if you get isekai'ed and form a party with Geralt of Rivia and Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War. What are you waiting???? start reading!

Truly Ludicrous! The amount of rush and excitement while reading this novels is crazy. Tbf this novels has a lot of downs and tropes you might not like. But one thing it absolutely excels in is the conflicts and high stakes of each arc.
