The Lord of the Mysteries is a great story. The start is a little slow for me, which took awhile before I started getting invested. Around 50 chapters in, I found myself fully engrossed in the story. The magic system is intriguing, the characters from the Tarot Club all have fleshed out story lines, plus I really like the fact that we see Klein grow from being the weakest person in the Nighthawks to a literal God.

Klein's sequence 4 ritual was masterful. It honestly made me shed a tear. I'm also really happy to see that the story didn't revolve around romance. One thing I hate about other "isekai" and "transmigration" stories is the awful harem plotline.

I mainly read this story because the author wrote another story I really liked called "Throne of Magical Arcana." The story was strong and I loved that we get to see the characters grow up.

Superb Sci-fi, Steam-Punk Fantasy, it’s got it all. The book is full of mystery, intrigue, magic and action, it’s got excellent plotting and pacing as well as characterization.

It is surprising that such an epic work is made as a web novel, it stands among my favourite books and the way the author goes about in developing a unique and well-defined magic system and the detailed world-building, along with fight sequences reminded me of my favourite author in this genre, Brandon Sanderson.

Adding to it all is the remarkable and fun protagonist with his ever-changing disguise of different characters. This style really works wonders in multi-book series, especially when you are binge-reading like me, the change of character keeps the reading experience fresh.

I do have one complaint that I felt the ending was abrupt, it could be more detailed but maybe it was for the best as I had started getting muddled by the end. Still, I do hope for other stories from the same universe.

I’ve been longing to make this review for a while now(about halfway through the book)but I decided that with the layers of the world being slowly unveiled it would be better to complete the novel before trying to make an objective review.I’ve finished the novel now and would say that all of the things I could say halfway through the novel continue to stand all the way to the end.

This novel’s author does an extremely good job in truly fleshing out the world while Klein’s on his journey. Klein’s journey starts at the bottom, so as readers we really get to see the difficulties of both the common people, and the struggles that come with being one of the many low to mid level beyonders in the world. During his journey the author lays an incomparably solid foundation that he keeps layering on until the novel has reached the largest points at the end, which creates a beautiful ecosystem where we are able to understand the walks of life for each sequence of beyonder and how they influence the world around them.I would also say that the 220 beyonder occupations seem like gears in a fined tuned machine, they are all extremely unique and have so much individuality that they create a larger picture that truly brings the world together.Lastly, I would just like to say that the mystery reveals and minor conflict conclusions all are well paced with the journey leading up to it, making me relish each and every chapter, causing my heart to race every time Klein overcame the difficulties and unveiled the mysteries holding him back.

I give this novel a 5 star not because it’s perfect, (as I believe it still has it’s flaws at the higher levels and with certain characters psyche towards specific events) but because I think the author accomplished everything he wanted to do and made an extremely unique novel that deserves to be in the top 0.1% of novels. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in a long storyline, and I can’t wait for LOTM 2 which may be coming 2022 at the earliest according to the author.

Currently in chapter 1321, I have fallen in love with this novel. You can just see the progress of the MC and the side characters throughout time. The characters are extremely realistic with different personalities and ideologies. Furthermore, the element of mystery blended perfectly with mysticism.

Some people say that this novel is like SAO because of its slow development, but after the first volume you will only realise that its only the beginning of the story and the tip of the iceberg. It is a must to read for the period of quarantine.

Hands down, this is by far one of the best. The characters are 3 dimensional, each arc gives you something new and exciting, and the world-building is simply outstanding! The beginning is low, but that is the only issue.

Very intricate story. Side characters are very well invested in as much as the MC. Feel their growth and depth as you wander through the depth of this mysterious world. Story progression is rather slow but then proceeds to slap you in the face when you least expect it. You’ll be glad that it started slow because you’ll definitely run out of breath later.

I will honestly review this story. Story begining is good. Story middle is good. Story end is total waste and left bad taste in mouth. Mc designed is totally pitful. He was left in many fucked up situations. I mean honestly he can't even masturbate imaging Miss Audrey.lol. There is no end so its an incomplete story. From the last chapters hints we get are that mc became some kind of mix of his, lord of mistry, and amon personality. He need long time to appear again maybe 10 or so years and world will end in short 16 to 18 years I think. There are 10 years for mc to sleep and if mc want to save world he had only time of 5 or so years. There are many loose ends like what happened to the copy of amon who separate from main body in abyss. What happened to other who were hanging with him in the palace. What happened to old gods. Whats situation with other gods. What will happen to king gustov. And abyss and outer world. Mind dragon seal. How other gods die in 1st epic and so on. Author can write a whole new book of 1000 chapters more.

The novel is worth reading and it is wonderful in all aspects, especially its mystery and intelligence, but beginning with Chapter 1400, it left the context of the story. I hope you will return to the context soon.

This stroy can be considered that takes the character time to develop and at the story to develop. The stroy set in Victorian era with gods and magic. It's not typical Chinese novel where MC becomes suddenly OP, with those arrongnet characters. It's stroy follows it's own style.

As you read on the summary this is a story of transmigrator waking up in a world of steam and machinery , superpowers and gods.

This novel is really heavy with the mysticism setting but it's really enjoyable to read I'd recommend it.
