The story is quite good. The promise might be a bit cliché, but the execution is proper with an interesting twist, and nicely done. It will capture you from the first chapters unlike some other long novels. Main and side characters have distinct personalities and qualities of a real person instead of becoming a troupe. On the other hand, the story progression is kind of shaky, sometimes flows smoothly and with enough detail, but sometimes unnecessarily long side stories might bore you. From the middle of the novel to end though somethings change. I'm not sure of the cause of it but, you can feel the rush to finish. Despite keeping the writing quilt as is, author seems to be trying to build a house without laying a foundation. Early on everything has a proper introduction, fleshed out main ideas, and a concise conclusion, but later it only reads as a summary. At one point the genre shifts to comedy to remedy that problem. literal peak. best novel. nothing else i can or need to say. Amazing character development, peak character development. Realistic and perfect characters, even the villains were so realistic and good. Must read. A story of life. A story of death. A story of loneliness. A story of responsibility.
I read and spammed this looking for translations and I must say this is peak and peak through go blind and you'll fall in love with the storybuilding
It was good, I’m not one for long reviews, but especially the first 3/4 of the story was phenomenal. The last bit was kinda off compared to the rest but not bad! I would definitely recommend giving it a read!
One of my favorite novels I've read so far. Easily a top 5. This story is a journey I'm glad I took and I cannot wait to reread to take on the adventure again. Thanks to the author and translators for their amazing work. SSS-Class Suicide Hunter is a truly beautiful story.
Though I didn't finished this novel I read more than half of it. First the good: - The main story is very good and it was one of the things that held me hooked - The skill system was pretty good something new and I liked it The neutral: - The MC, he was at first interesting but after a while he was to goody two shoes for me, not that it's bad to be good but it went to far that he became a little bit boring - The other characters, some were really good but others were just boring and cliche The bad: - Most of the side arcs were lackluster and boring, they were most of the times to long and the MC tried everything to get the perfect ending The worst: - His arc where he finds his love was so far-fetched, as I read it, it made me aggressiv. If you can't write romance stuff please don't include
I gave the novel a try, but it didn’t meet my expectations. The story feels like a collection of sad and emotional subplots, with the MC's transformation into an intelligent combat expert seeming abrupt given his initial struggles and his online presence. Some comedic moments feel a bit forced, and certain plot points could use more clarity. These are just my observations so far, and other readers may have a different experience. Looking forward to seeing how the story develops further.
My review- 9. 25/10 Protagonist- 10/10 Many times one may think what better choice they could've made if they were the protagonist, but Kim Gongja is a GOAT on the cellular level, one can't outclass him. . Side-characters- 9. 5/10 In many novels, side character's are just stepping stones for the MC to shine, but in this novel, each character is fleshed out, given a life, and have made decisions that befit their nature. World Building- 8. 5/10 Okay so in a tower novel there are many things to which you want the answer fundamentally, like 'Why does this tower exist' 'Who made this tower' and this novel encompasses these questions beautifully. However, what I did find lacking was some of the floors of the tower in the latter half of the series and the influence of the outside world on the tower. . Writing- 11/10 Masterpiece. . The author encapsulates human life and emotions perfectly. The only thing I regret is that the author rushed a lot towards the ending of the novel. .
Well how can I say this without seeming like a complete fanboy. . . it doesn't matter. The story from the first to the last chapter was truly captivating. A well built world skill system interesting characters good pacing. Its just brilliant storytelling. I have to give my utmost respect and thanks to the author for this masterpiece and to the translation team without them i could have not enjoyed this marvelous story
honestly it might seem somewhat generic at first but the world building is next level and it felt more like reading classic literature than a manhwa about regression at some point level . Highly recommend it !
Advanced floors take less than a minute (many times it gets skipped in bundles together) even though tutorial floors took years, every side character is left behind despite the promise of the story that 65 climbing alone was not the way to go. Don't get me wrong, it's still enjoyable. It just feels different, and less captivating than the early part. Another thing is, the gimmick of the main character (that being he needs to die to get stronger or change events) gradually gets forgotten, and main character becomes another super strong, I always have a plan stereotype. Overall I still recommend this as a good read. I would give it a 3.7/5. [2/2]
